Kirsten Broadfoot
Kirsti is originally from Aotearoa-New Zealand and holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder, specializing in organizational and cultural communication, especially as they intersect in the healthcare environment. Her dissertation work in pediatric and cancer genetics clinics was published as Living with Genetics: Recombining Health and Self in Modern Medicine, and she has also conducted research into telemedicine and oral healthcare with native populations. Kirsti is particularly interested in the ‘re-organizing’ of medicine and clinical interaction, especially as it is impacted by cultures, technology and relationship centered care, and the consequences of same on medical education and socialization. Outside of the human medicine arena, Kirsti is also a member of a team conducting communication skills training in veterinary practice. Kirsti is co-founder of COMMUNEcation, an international online community dedicated to organizing and communicating social change and ring bearer for the Good Work Circle, a community of individuals and organizations pursuing good work practices and places.

Carey Candrian
Carey is originally from Tucson and has lived in Boulder for 6 years. She worked at a wellness center in Arizona and a non-profit therapeutic health organization in Colorado before earning her MA in organizational communication. She is currently a third year PhD student at the University of Colorado and graduate part-time instructor. Her current interests include the intersection of organizational and health communication. Specifically, she is interested in end-of-life communication; medical decision making; medical education and collaborative models of communication in clinical settings. She will graduate Spring 2010 and plans to stay involved with the healthcare arena. Linkedin

Web 2.0 strategist, Yann has 10 years of experience in marketing, business development and sales. After working on 3 continents in the corporate environment, Yann has concentrated his efforts in the entrepreneurial space where he has learned first hand about setting things up from scratch!He jumped into the social media environment with the Enthusiast Group in 2006 when working with thought leaders like Derek Scruggs and Steve Outing. Yann holds an MBA from Universiteit Hasselt (Belgium) in conjunction with the University of Colorado at Denver.
